I have a question for you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today. Right now. Are you working from a place of passion, or a place of comparison?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are you scrolling through your feed feeling like you’re just not good enough? Like you aren’t worthy? Like you don’t have the finances, or the resources, or the talents, or the connections, to be as successful as (name of someone you admire)?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most of us, and by us I mean creativepreneurs, are dreamers. So, it’s easy to get caught up in the mindset of what we should be doing - especially when we see others in our industry doing those things. It sometimes seems like the right decision because it’s based on a standard, but if it doesn’t bring you joy, then it’s not right.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you create from a place of comparison, rather than passion, more than likely, it isn’t going to thrive. If something feels forced, or like it isn’t working, walk away. It’s okay.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think more of us need to start listening to that voice inside our hearts, and stop doing things because it’s what the competition does.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
What inspires you? What makes you excited to wake up every morning to run your business? I genuinely want to know!
