Have you felt bombarded by all the “learn how to make 6 figures in 30 days” messages, captions, and ads as of late?

(Insert eye roll here)

I’m here to tell you, if you haven’t made 6 figures… congratulations, you’re just like most of us, working from the ground up, creating genuine relationships, and building a sustainable business that stands the test of time.

These ads telling you that you can be an overnight success with minimal work? It’s an unrealistic message that gives the wrong impression to new entrepreneurs - and heck, even established businesses that want to grow.

Besides the fact that running a business — any business — takes a sh*tload of work, suggesting that any and every business can hit that mark (much less in 30 days as I’ve seen advertised) so easily is misleading.

Can you say burnout?

Am I saying these courses aren’t putting out useful information? Nope! Am I saying that setting financial goals is wrong? Absolutely not! But I AM saying that 6 figures doesn’t mean success. It’s up to you to determine what success means — it’s different for everyone. I’m saying do not allow this trendy topic to effect your confidence, or make you feel unworthy, or give up.

If you’ve achieved a 6 figure business, I’m genuinely happy for you. If you’re just getting started, know that it’s okay to build your business slowly. That results don’t come overnight. That it takes time to learn what your audience wants. That making mistakes and learning from them is all part of the process.

Trust it. Trust the process.

Don’t feel like you failed because your first launch hasn’t brought in thousands, or you don’t have a “✓” next to your name, or your follower count doesn’t have a “k” after the number, or you’re not booked out for the next 6 months with a waitlist of eager clients.

Celebrate the stage you’re in. Landed your first client? Income increase from one month to the next? Those little victories matter!
